This presentation is about the 12-year journey, from conversation to publication, of the book, Mormon Garments: Sacred and Secret. This talk will highlight the process, findings, and challenges we faced in writing an academic book to answer our personal questions about wearing garments.

Nancy Ross is an associate professor and the department chair of the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Department at Utah Tech University, where she has been teaching for 19 years. She researches LDS and Community of Christ women, women’s ordination movements, and issues related to Mormon feminism. Her book, “Mormon Garments: Sacred and Secret,” published by the University of Illinois Press, examines the meaning and lived experiences of those who wear garments through the lenses of gender and belief.

This event is free and open to the public!
