Dr. Patrick Q. Mason presented a lecture on “Why the Cross?” at the Albrecht Auditorium on the Claremont campus. He addressed Mormonism’s unique focus on Gethsemane’s redemption of the soul while envisioning the Cross’s saving potential for society. Dr. Mason is the Howard W. Hunter Chair of Mormon Studies.
