As the semester drew to a close in spring 2011, the Claremont Mormon Studies Council hosted a dinner in honor of Richard and Claudia Bushman for their significant role in helping to establish the Howard W. Hunter Chair of Mormon Studies at Claremont.

Randy Huff, president of the council, presented the Bushmans with a painting of the Claremont School of Religion as a token of appreciation for their efforts and guidance.
