The Mormon Studies Council at Claremont Graduate University is proud to host a presentation by Joseph Spencer, author of 1 Nephi: A Brief Theological Introduction.

Joseph Spencer is a philosopher and an assistant professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University, and the author of five books and dozens of articles on scripture, philosophy, and theology. Spencer serves as the editor of the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies, as the associate director of the Latter-day Saint Theology Seminar, and as a vice president for the Book of Mormon Studies Association.
